sEBASTIAN qUINONEZ

Sebastian is a Freshman at Yale University from New Haven, Connecticut. He is not sure of what he wants to major in. He's looking into Economics. He attended Amistad High where he played Soccer and Lacrosse. Outside of school he was heavily involved in tutoring students in New Haven that did not know how to read exactly. Sebastian was born in Ecuador. Growing up in New Haven, he could often be playing soccer or play FIFA with his friends.

Sebastian's passion for teaching stems from not having great teachers in his early education. Getting to high school where he has had great teacher and mentors has made him want to give back. Going up in New Haven Public Schools and doing competitive summer programs has given Sebastian the full scope of the gaps in education on America. Starting school in ecuador, Sebastian also knows the difference of education across countries.
At Yale, Sebastian is starting off Yale with doing things that passion him. He is a member of UIC and plans to get involved a little bit more when he is comfortable academically.

Fun Fact: Sebastian learned to climb trees in Ecuador
