Suezette Weir is a graduate student at Yale who is originally from New Jersey. She has lived in both inner-city and suburban communities within New Jersey. These experiences helped shaped her view on the educational and financial inequity that exists between low and high-income students. As the daughter of Jamaican immigrants, she is very passionate about improving educational opportunities for minority students and has served as a professional development mentor for INROADS and the Cornell Black Alumni association for the past five years.
Suezette is currently pursuing her MBA at the Yale School of Management with intentions to pursue a career in brand management and marketing in the beauty industry. Long-term, she hopes to use her business management education to create economic opportunities in the Caribbean.
Suezette is also very passionate about natural and healthy lifestyles and enjoys learning new plant-based recipes and practicing Yoga and Barre.
